Project Overview

CONTEXT

Personify Health (formerly Virgin Pulse) is a company health and wellness benefit that HR reps recommend to their employees to help manage their wellbeing.

The Personify Health platform, comprised of an app and website, contains many digital health tools, including a medical checklist that is used to manage medical appointments for preventive care and personal health conditions.

Medical Checklist Features

Users view a list of medical appointments (i.e. dental exam) to complete based on their age/sex and can input their appointment date.

Based on the inputted appointment date, the checklist calculates when their next appointment should be and reminds the user as it approaches.

Users can redeem rewards, customized by the employer via points or cash, for completing certain medical appointments.

Business goal: close gaps in care (when a person is not up to date on a medical appointment)

PROJECT BRIEF

I evaluated the role the checklist played in the user's life by performing qualitative research. Thereafter, I proposed enhancements and promoted cross-collaboration.

End Result & Impact

  • Delivered a research findings report and readout, inspiring neighboring stakeholders to regularly evaluate their products and ideas

  • Increased cross-collaboration with the product team and solution architects to ensure alignment on user and business objectives for the ongoing development of the medical checklist feature

  • Established success metrics for the medical checklist and initiated the data mining process with a data analyst

  • Inspired product leadership to focus efforts on improving the medical checklist as part of the company-wide engagement initiative

2024 updates:

  • Research findings resurfaced as the team revisited the medical checklist feature, focusing on its functionality for health plan administration and exploring recommendation Number 3.

  • The research readout continues to serve as a valuable design and user research onboarding tool for new hires to this day.
